The Easiest Ever Pumpkin Spice Latte Dessert...

This little experiment came from my love of English trifle as a dessert.
We usually have English trifle at Christmas, but I was really craving trifle with some fall flavours as I was sipping a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte this week.
And then it dawned on me....what if I used an actual pumpkin spice latte as the starting point for a trifle.
Instead of making a custard to soak into pound cake...what would happen if I used a pumpkin spice latte?
I got busy and gave it a whirl.
Using store bought ingredients, It took me all of 10 minutes to put this dessert together in individual dessert dishes.
 I let it set in the fridge for a few hours and then got out my spoon...oh delish!
This creation did not disappoint!
The flavour of the pumpkin spice latte soaked into the poundcake beautifully and with whipped cream, skor toffee bits and nuts...it was amazing!
And the beauty of this...anyone can make this...no baking required!
Pumpkin Spice Latte Dessert

Spiced vanilla walnuts {Mine came from the Safeway gourmet nut counter.}
1 bottle caramel dessert sauce {Find in the dessert section. of grocery store.}
6 Individual dessert bowls

Directions:

1. Cube pound cake into 1 inch cubes as shown.

2. Press cubes of poundcake into bottom of dessert bowls to make first layer.

3. Pour cold pumpkin spice latter over pound cake cubes....enough to just cover the cubes.

4. Sprinkle with skor toffee bits and vanilla spiced nuts.

5. Cover the pound cake, bits and nuts with whipped cream.

6. Repeat with another poundcake, pumpkin spice latter,  skor bits and nuts layer.

7. Spray with whipped cream.

8. Drizzle some caramel sauce over whipped cream and garnish with skor toffee bits.

9. Place in fridge.for  few hours. {If the whipped cream shrinks a bit as it get soaks into the poundcake, just spray a little  more whipped cream around the edges of the dessert bowl.

 This dessert is sooo much easier to make than a pie. I used to work full-time outside the home and I know that there is not always time to bake.
 This dessert can be make so quickly and easily.
This would make a wonderful dessert for Thanksgiving dinner...it is that good!
