Easter Birdhouse for Spring

If you are looking for a fun project for the kids this weekend, this might be just the thing you are looking for! This little birdhouse is such a colourful creation and each little artist can personalize it and make it their own in the colours of their choice. A group of birdhouses together would also make a fabulous mobile or decoration hung from the ceiling too!

Little wooden birdhouses are easy to find at the dollar store or Michael's. I found this one at Michael's for $1.50. The rest of the supplies I had at home. Here is a visual of the supplies you will need:

Supplies:
-1 or more birdhouse for each artist
-paintbrushes and paints in assorted colours
-ric rac ribbon and buttons in assorted colours
-scissors
-white glue or glue gun & glue
-little chickadees {I found mind at Michael's}
-assorted Easter Candies
-scrapbook paper scraps

Directions:
1. Paint birdhouses as desired. Let dry.
2. Decorate roof. Candies can be used as I have down, or multi-coloured buttons, or strips of scrapbook paper. Have fun with it.
3. Add ric rac and buttons as trim on birdhouse as shown.
4. Glue little chickadee on perch.
5. Admire the colourful creation!
